They see so many people that in their mind, its okay to tell people off.įor the salesperson, it's a waste of time because the 30-40 minutes spent going over the features, test drive, and to be ready in 120 days wont get them their bonuses. Large volume stores( the super centers, the places that have 400+ cars in their inventory) as well as managers that come from those places only care about if you're ready to buy a car that day. This is a direct failure on the management. The cars are nice, the dealer network is fucking garbage.ġ0 years in the business, wildly successful at times, massive failure at others. We told him that we needed a couple month lead time, and he says "you told me you were buying today, I didn't know you were going to waste my time." Then, after not letting us drive it, this asshole had the gall to ask if we were buying.
My dad - who buys cars cash, who is at this dealership only because of my suggestion, cross-shopping the Q7, which he was able to drive no problem - is being told he cannot test drive a Kia. Right off the bat, he says we can't drive it without a credit check. We get to the dealership and I tell the guy that we are just looking at the competition and would like to see the Telluride. This was the same at BMW for the X7 - salesman was respectful and understood that we were looking for a couple month lead time.
